Job Description
  • Manage a multidisciplinary team to optimise production on a daily basis, bring forward and plan drilling and intervention opportunities and to develop the subsurface development strategy adding long term value to the asset through optimisation of production and reserves. Focus is on technical quality, and on developing the subsurface team’s technical skills and teamwork.  Liaise effectively with senior management, other departments, partners and regulatory authorities as required.

 

  • Co-ordinate reservoir studies, well planning and interventions planning. Lead & manage AVP consolidation and annual reserves process. Liaise with BPMigas drilling, finance and facilities to ensure reservoir development plan is fully integrated. Ensure sensitivity analyses are undertaken to optimise development plan. Direct involvement with all production forecasting (short, medium and long term). Organise & lead annual budgeting process.  Ensure that all work undertaken by the team is executed to the appropriate technical standard.

 

  • Monitor performance through  pre vs post analyses of wells, interventions, updates of  reservoir models & simulation models and production forecasts. Closely monitor well & intervention operations and coordinate & lead activities involving key operational decisions.

 

  • Foster team spirit through clear communications, regular team meetings / briefings, away days & social events. Maintain  succession plan, ensure resources are adequate, liaise with BPMigas/ Hess Tech Services on specific resourcing issues. Maintain an active performance management programme for all Subsurface Staff, ensuring career development plans for all staff are in place and being executed, in the context of succession plan & asset plan.

    Filter and delegate requests from inteal Hess management. Organise technical committee & operating committee meetings with partners and manage the meetings. Attend partnership work group meetings protecting and furthering Hess interests whilst also trying to maintain partnership alliance. Meet regularly with exteal authorities ensuring approval process runs smoothly. Ensure annual reporting delivered on time to partners & authorities
Desired Profile
• 10 years + development experience.• Reservoir and or production engineering background.• Leadership experience• Inteational experience preferred.• Degree in relevant engineering discipline
